The Story Behind Smile and Breathe

For many years, these reflections lived only in my personal journals. Today, I feel inspired to open those pages to the public in the hope of meeting YOU.

Thanks to this digital age, we are able to connect across time and distance, sharing our experiences and supporting one another on the journey of healing the body-mind through a spiritual path.

Dr. Wayne Dyer once suggested that “when we are willing to suspend our disbelief, life reveals meaningful and even magical coincidences”. Perhaps the fact that you are reading these words right now is one of them. I do not believe our paths cross by accident. Maybe there is a reason we are meeting here, in this moment.

There is another reason this website exists, one that is deeply personal to me.

This space is lovingly dedicated to my beautiful mother, whose sharp wit and unique sense of humor taught me that a smile is medicine for the mind. Though life’s hardships rarely gave her many reasons to smile, she could always find humor in the absurdities of life. She was remarkably healthy, beautiful, and disciplined.

In the final days of her life, her smile arose from a deeper place. Witnessing it reminded me that even in life’s most painful moments, there are still reasons to smile. This project is dedicated to her memory, and it gives me the motivation to keep writing, sharing, and documenting the insights and experiences I have gathered through 23 years of yoga practice and 15 years of meditation.

In a way, every blog, image, and reflection shared here is both an expression of gratitude to my mother and an offering to those who may be walking a similar path of healing and self-discovery, not as answers, but as experiences and reflections that may resonate with you.

Namaste.
